Some things are worth giving up for...

"Two princes" by Son Of Dork

Original Song : Here

The original song was a one hit wonder from the band Spin Doctors and covered by the ban Son Of Dork. Somehow I prefer the Son Of Dork version. Anyway the song is pretty much straight forward. 2 Guys after 1 Girl. one has money the other has no money but tried to tell the girl that money cannot buy you anything especially love. Something this materialistic world is slowly forgetting.

Anyway its been a hectic week so far for me. My left leg is still feeling strained due to the muscles compensating for the lack of support from my worn out shoe and the fact that my ankle was injured. But I think tmr evening I might be able to start a light jog.

Handed up one assignment today and here is something interesting. The assignment had some bonus marks part which I decided not to do after deciding that I will head down to The Butter Factory with Herbert and Elliott to support friends in the fashion show there. And to my suprise,(ok so I was still thinking that I should have done the bonus part) it did not matter after all. In the end only one person did it so the lecturer pushed the marks up for the rest of us. So in the end it was worth the trade off(haha I can imagine a few people laughing now).

So it was finish assignment, headed to SLS to scout for items for my cousin so that I know the price I would hunt for at the upcoming comex. Also helped Leanna ask around regarding her laptop problem. Than it was down to town to meet Herbert, Stella and Elliott for dinner. Than it was off to The Butter Factory for the event.

Well the music is alot better than VD but the event was kinda disappointing. Poster put there got free drink, in the end no free drink and the event started late(At least got one for one if not really cmi). Mind you its a tuesday night and still start late. Bumbed into Sam and Cash and was introed to Jackie and Chris. Also got to know Melissa and Gillian and was properly introduced to Casse(properly cos the last time at VD was rather interrupted). Always nice to meet more people. :)

Gonna get some sleep after this blog as I got full day of lessons tomorrow. Hope I can get my assignment done as the deadline is also tomorrow. Than its comex on friday and a short holiday over the weekends.

Elliott and Myself with Herbert behind the camera.

And as usual, always take a shot with the pretty girls, Casse and Gillian.

It started with 1, then went on to 2. And now its 4 pretty girls and one saboed but not complaining Kenneth. :D

Cheers,
Kenneth.

*Happening? Nah... wait till my exams starts... haha...*

And that's why I'm wondering why

"She Says" by Howie Day

Original MTV

This is another hit by Howie Day after "Collide". There have been many different views on this song. From a ex boyfriend telling the new boyfriend of his ex girlfriend that he will never be able to love her like he did. Or a guy who is a best friend to a girl singing about how to her, he can only be her best friend but yet he should be the best one for her.

Well either way it does make sense and unfortunately until there is an official explanation to this song, everyone can only keep guessing. But to me, its the deeper meaning of it all. The irony in the whole situation that the thing lost/given up could be the better of the two.

And the application here would be that its sometimes good to take a step back and look beyond that narrow vision and consider if there is something else better out there. Something beyond our comfort zones or something that we are so used to do that we do not want to consider an alternative. Or that sometimes the very thing that we are giving up is the best option compared to the new thing we are considering.

Well it does mean that I need to be more flexible. For someone who likes to stay in his comfort zone, who only does things the way he knows will work out. Maybe its time to consider other things and explore new things. Meet new people and consider new ideas from other people. Or maybe it just means that I should stop thinking so much... lol...

Anyway just a quick recap of the last 2 days.

Sunday was my first step to recovery of my ankle. After that incident I know it will never be back to 100%. But hey completing the 12km without stopping(ok lah I did stop at the water point and the toliet) in a non flat route was a good indication that my ankle is alot better than before. Next step would be to conquer the 21km. Of cos it also means I need to get a new pair of shoes. Am open for suggestion so feel free to leave a note on the tag board if you would like to suggest a pair of shoes. Do keep in mind that I would be going for something heavier for better support for longer distance.

Went to meet Elliott, Herbert and HuiRong in town for dinner as a reward for completing the 12km. Well something happened before that that irritated me. But I guess some times the best medicine is not the sweetest one. And if we are not willing to taste it, we will never become better. Dinner was at suntec and it was off to have one drink at Harry's while the Toon vs Boro game was on. Expected the Toons to win but I guess a point from an away game cannot be that bad. Man Utd vs Spurs was next. Did not finish the match there as everyone was getting tired.

Something happened and looking it from a positive point of view, I am glad that I was able to be objective about it. Just stop, think what to do next and do it and make the best of the situation. Of cos knowing my soft heart, there is no way I can ever get angry. Accidents happen... One thing to complain though, my bourbon coke tested funny. Think the mixture was not right.

Monday was spent waking up late. Went to school and nearly had my class canceled as the schedule had my lab session removed last minute. Thankfully my tutor was still around and class went on as per normal after much delay. Came back to continue working on my assignment. Must get it done by tomorrow afternoon so I can take a short break before going down to SLS to scout for some stuff. Than its off to butterfactory to show my support(hope the bourbon coke there is good).

Ok its 2am now and my bio clock says its way past my bed time. Gonna wake up early tmr to carry on my work. Must press on so I can enjoy the rest of the week.

Nights,
Kenneth ;)

*Although I still think that there is another meaning to the song but I just cannot put a finger to it... oh well... lol*

Its almost time to say goodbye...

"Break My Fall" by Tiesto Feat. BT

The next song in the DJ Tiesto's Elements of Life has been added to my ipod for my jogging playlist.Anyway decided to take a break from my assignments and do a blog post before I go back to fight the assignment monster.

Well as the post title goes, this is a post dedicated to the my DS Trainers. Its been a great almost 2 years but its almost time to say goodbye. Well for those who do not know what I referring, thats the name of a model of Asics shoes.

This pair is rather important to me(not that my preivous pair of DS Trainers is not) as it marked the road back to getting my stamina. Well the story goes like this:

2003 marked the year I transited from a boy to a young man in the eyes of every Singaporean. Its the year I enlisted into the Singapore Armed Forces as part of a liability that every Singaporean male has. Unfortunately I enlisted with a heavy heart which my closer poly friends might remember why. And to add to it, I passed the pilot computer test as well. Which sort of added fuel to fire.

Having not passed my IPPT, I went into the ptp batch which means extra training to get me fit. And while I failed most stations, my 2.4km was ok thanks to me forcing myself to jog before I enlisted. Time passed and my fitness improved. I broke the 0 barrier for my pull up and my weakest station, the standing broad jump was almost there. Short of about 5 cm to pass.

I was than called up for the 2nd stage of the pilot test which was the interview. 'Smoking' was one of my stronger points and I smoked my way through the interview ending it with the answer to if I had to bomb a target and the blast area will effect a nearby church, will I still do it. I said something like I will check it out if its a cult church first, than I dun mind the extra damage. I passed the interview and the final medical test went well.

The last test was to get into OCS to qualify to be a pilot. With that in mind, I pushed myself every time there was physical training, especially when it came to standing broad jump. Which also led to me injuring my ankle. But of cos that did not stop me from pushing on.

Posting day and I was sent to SISPEC. Rather expected as somehow I was rejected for pilot due to some medical reasons(which up till now I was not given any answer to). Yet I continued to push harder in SISPEC. Chances of OCS cross over was there. Than one faithful day during SOC(which I finally cleared), I fell awkwardly and there went my ankle. Off to the specialist and I was out of course and later downgraded.

Fast forward to SOCE where I was signaler. My first chance at the 21km AHM came up. despite recovering from my ankle injury, I managed to hit the 12km mark during training thanks to my first pair of DS Trainers. Think it was the 9th in its series(Thanks to my bunk mate Russel back than). Nice soft gel technology to help with the impact. Unfortunately I never got to run because I was PES C2L2 no lower limb exercise. But I never gave up with my jogging.

Fast forward to the 2nd chance at 21km AHM. I went for upgrade to PES B which means I am fit to run the 21km. Just got my new pair of DS Trainers 10 as my old one had to retire. Again I hit the 12km mark during training and was looking forward to hitting the 16km and finally the 18km before the 21km itself. And once again I did not get a chance because I had to go for some exercise. Disappointed I stopped my interest in jogging.

Fast forward to start of this year, something happened and I was really pissed at something or someone. Went to find my pair of DS Trainers and hit the track outside my place. 4.4km at one shot. Considering I have not jogged for so long, I nearly "died" but it felt really good. I decided to carry on.

8 months later I am getting ready for my first personal test, to finish the 12km run tomorrow morning. I finished 6km comfortably and wacked 10km on tuesday and another 6km again on friday morning to keep my level there.

Unfortunately while it will be my first attempt at the 12km tomorrow, it will be the last few times I will be bringing my DS Trainers for a run/jog. The sole is wearing out and I would give it 2-3 more jogging sessions before its time to get a new pair.

My DS Trainers...

Signs that its almost time to get a new pair...

Well thats about it today. Will blog about how my first 12km run went when I survive it(which I hope I will).

Cheers,
Kenneth.

The Need To Focus?

Ok yes this is a post to the poster "anon" or who ever you are. I am very sorry but I dun take advise/comments seriously from a keyboard warrior aka someone who hides behind his or her nick. Serious "anon" or anonymous as my sister pointed out is not a name I know of in my circle.

Not that I am saying your advise/comment is rubbish but please at least email me with your real name who you are and what you mean. At least your real name so that I can take you seriously. Unfortunately I have seen my fair share of keyboard warriors posting big shot stuff and it is very irritating.

Anyway last 2 days were spent at home rushing my Systems Security Assignment. Deadline is on the 29th and I want to get it done by tomorrow(Friday) so that I can start on my Coding For Secure Communications assignment which is due the day after(30th). And both are killer assignments.

Of cos this meant that I did not join Elliott, Herbert, Leanna & HuiRong for the event at SJP. Yup I was at home doing my assignment as I know I need to work hard for my assignments as I do not usually do well for my exam paper. Overall I want to maintain a credit average for my grades. And if I have to sacrifice going out than so be it. Also next week is comex which I have never missed since I got involved with PC Hardware. Yes I will not be buying anything since I do not need to but its good to go down to see the new stuff. Also my cousin asked me to help him get stuff if I am going down and there will be a few booths to visit as I got friends there so why not...

And most importantly is that I got other friends there as well and its good to go down and see them. These friends are worth it and its good motivation to not slack around but to finish up my assignments. And knowing me, my perfectionist nature will ensure that I will do everything I can to improve my assignments.

And of cos I wanna go for a nice morning jog to keep my level there for the fun run on sunday morning.

Other things to take note of this week is revision classes tomorrow night 7-10pm. Yup night classes especially on friday is bad and I still got lessons on saturday morning. But if its gonna help me earn my marks for the exam than why not? Maybe even can squeeze in time to accompany my classmate to queensway to take a look at shoes. My DS Trainer is nearing the end of its lifespan and I do need to get new ones soon.

So yesh, if working hard for my studies and ensuring that my social life doesn't take a hit while still keeping the friendship I have is wrong than please do tell me why.
My tone here is very blunt and negative but like I said, how do you expect me to take a keyboard warrior aka someone who doesn't use his real name or at least does not exist in my circle of friends seriously.

Again, drop me an email or something and I assure you I will take my time to read it through.

Just playing with my digicam while taking my dinner. Trying out the different focus range, flash and so on. But the apple pie looks good right? ;)
(too bad the knife I used was not sharp enough to give a clean cut)

Ok back to work on my laptop while I finish encoding the other 10 episodes.

Cheers,
Kenneth.

Aftermath of Operation Sebastian...

It has been a busy past 2 days. And I am blogging this early in case I get too tired and forget to blog.

Tuesday:

Well decided to wake up early today and the guy doing the anti mosquito flogging thingy helped me with it. My silly dog was barking so loud at the guy that even covering my ears with my pillow did not help. Was so tempted to put my noise canceling headphones on than I remembered the kitchen windows were open. So no choice woke up to close the windows and bring kenny(my silly silky terrier) to my room.

Afternoon was spent trying to motivate myself to get started on my assignments. Think I lost my inner fire of motivation due to partying too much last week. Thankfully by 3-4pm I managed to clear the first part of it.

Wanted to slack the rest of the day since I have to ask my tutor how to continue my assignment but seeing the weather being all nice and cool, I decided to go ahead with my 10km preparations for this sunday's fun run. Was planning to complete 6km or the most 8km but somehow I pushed on and completed 104km. And now my legs starting to complain. I choose to blame it on my IPOD and DJ Tiesto. But that officially means I am ready for sunday. Just need one more 8km jog to keep my level there and yet give my legs some rest.

Monday:

It felt like the day after the annual exercise for the cadets and spec trainees before the trip up to crescendo. A crazy 4 days exercise where I play trooper so that the cadets do not kill the radio sets. Which means also doing fire movement and manning the radio sets over night.

It was also submission day and the stupid thing about it was that the SIM people cannot agree with the UOW lecturer how the assignment was to be submitted. Yes Huirong I fully agree with you the admin people need to work harder. Got irritated that the online submission did not work and no news yet that I gave a call to the admin. Hardcopy submission she says so down I went to school to submit it. Printed out the report and burnt the programs to a cd.

Since I was out, I decided to join Elliott, Herbert and Leanna at suntec before Elliott went for his dinner appointment. I mean it takes 1hour15mins to get to school and now way am I going to spend that time to go home after just dropping my assignment into the drop box.

Well it did not go as planned(intended to go home once Elliott goes for his dinner appointment) and I ended up staying for dinner and 2 Bourbon Coke later on. Spent like 3 over hours talking and accessing someone's wireless network(sorry about that but you forgot to secure it) and watching Leanna and Herbert compete over Crazy Taxi while helping me to drain my psp's battery. Huirong joined us later on after coming over from school. Seems she was also having a bad day with the admin.

Dinner was over at PS Thai Express where Lyndnn and Jaymee joined us. Think our table was making the most noise in the whole place. Unfortunately Lyndnn and Jaymee had something on after dinner so the 5 of us went off to Balcony Bar for drinks. The place was kinda nice as we seated at some big sofa thingy. And they kept showing how Arsenal got owned with sloppy goalkeeping and the entertaining 9 yellow card Liverpool and Chelsea match.

More photo taking took place and well I will let the pictures do the talking later. Than it was home sweet home to get some well deserved rest.

Always take photo with a pretty girl... something I learnt :D

Group Picture Time...

Just one drink...

2 Pretty Girls... What more can any guy ask for?

Time for one more group shot...

Remember Not To Think Too Much And You Will Be Fine...

"In The Dark" by Dj Tiesto feat. Christian Burns

Ok I know I am wols but DJ Tiesto is good sia. Guess my trip to zouk last friday relighted my interest in Techno/Dance music. Well if you did not know, the reason I actually liked Techno/Dance before was due to the army. I was the "Force Noob DJ / Sound Guy" back than and Techno/Dance music was the way to go to keep everyone happy. I remembered that one night after a long long sequence of exercise and events I had to do, I actually sort of broke down after settling everything. As usual I stayed back to fix up all the spoiled wires and did store accounting. It was rather late at night and to just confirm that everything was working, I hooked up the sound system and played one of the Techno/Dance cds. Unfortunately I cannot remember what song was playing but it was kinda nice. Think its a remixed love song or something. And since then the interest grew and the latest Techno/Dance hits were played every time I was in charge at the mixer.

Anyway Sebastian went back to UK and Me, Elliott and Herbert went to see him off last night at the airport. His whole family was there to see him off as well. Had a good time chit chatting and disturbing both him and his sister Charmaine. Also a big thanks to the parents for the ride home. Think Sebastian should be back in UK by now getting ready to watch the Manchester Derby match(you traitor lah, support Man Utd then still take Emirates back :P)

Hope to see you back in SG again next year. Not too soon though, I need to recover from last week and save up again before we can go enjoy. :D

Well I finally cleaned up my previous blog post. Too many spelling errors with grammar mistakes. Haha guess I was still not back to normal yesterday. Really felt like after one week of intensive outfield exercise.

And lastly like my friend was telling me, I need to remind myself not to think too much. Its gonna get me back to square one again. It is bad for my health and with the extra pressure on me now, must be more careful.

Cheers,
Kenneth ;)

Always remember to take a photo with the pretty girl...

Ok decided to blog now since I am still quite wasted and thus nothing my tutor is saying is going into my head. Ok abit lah, all the P(A|B) things and whatever entropy definition.

First off was to eat ramen at Liang Court again while waiting for Viridis to come. Poor girl got stuck in the traffic jam. After dinner, our first stop was Indo Chine. First time there for me and I must say that the thing that caught my attention most was the music rather than the ancient chinese decorations. They were playing lounge music in japanese.

Ok still looking sober at Indo Chine...

Next stop on the tour list was Velvet Dragon which I was told was the former MoMo. Went there to support Elliott and Herbert's friend Casse(Hope I got your name right). Maybe I got spoiled with other places but Velvet Dragon did not really stand out to me. Music was so-so(even this noob ex-NSF forced DJ can tell) but I guess its the people there that was the reason to go. Was introduced to Ning(Thanks for round 2 of drinks), Cash and Rachel(After seeing the way you dance, I think my defination of good dancing just got higher) and the models for the show Casse, Gillian and Leanna.

With Elliott At Velvet Dragon.... Still sober of cos...

A group picture before leaving Velvet Dragon shortly after. Notice that I am starting to get abit high...

Viridis had to make a move after the fashion show at Velvet Dragon. The rest of us(Leanna joined us) made our way to the last stop on the tour which was to Zouk or more specifically to Phuture to meet up with Jaymee and there I was introduced to Lyndnn. First time to Phuture and I must comment that overall its a nice place although it felt like a can of sardines in there. After the first drink it was over to zouk. Less people and good music is the way to go. Stopped myself from getting the 2nd drink there because "Kenneth + Beer + Vodka + Bourbon = Not So Good" and I do need to send Sebastian back in one piece.

Went back to the Phuture after that for our last drink. And naturally there was more dancing, or rather more of me and my stiff movements. Well if you were there, you will know why I usually just relax one corner and drink and watch people dance. By then the mixture of Beer and Alcohol was getting to me and thankfully it was time to make a move as I still got class in a few hours time(which I am writing this blog instead of listening to the tutor and receiving the photos from Herbert).

And of cos I guess even though I was super tired and high, I remembered to always get a photo with the pretty girl and well it was worth it. Thanks for the photo, it made my day :D

Cheers,
Kenneth.

Ok who woke me up so early?

Well just gonna do a quick blog before I go to sleep.

Wednesday is just another day of the week which to majority of the people is a marker that half of the work/school week is over and the weekends are near. But to a group of people who enjoy good old dance music, it was the time to relive the good old days. If you remember people like Rick Astley, Belinda Carlisle or the Group Bananarama and moved to the songs like "Square Room" or "Call Me" than I think you will know what I mean.

And finally going back to try the famed Mambo Night @ Zouk I was all fired up. Initially it looked like a setback as NUS Temasek Hall was having their bash party there. But to our relief, tickets were going at $16 for guys and $14 for girls with 2 free drinks included. From what looked like a turn off became a blessing. Considering that its usually $25 for guys and free entry for girls do not come with the drinks, it was a win win situation.

Music was slow in the beginning with songs like "Forever Young" but slowly picked up with a remixed of Madonna's "Like A Prayer". Soon it was into full swing with "Never Gonna Give You Up" and back to back hits of "Summer Rain" and "Heaven Is A Place On Earth".

A Shot with Audrey

4 Guys(Me, Sebaz, Elliott & Herbert) and A Gal(Lynette)

Well it was fun going to the dance floor even though I can't dance for nuts. And I got to see the fabled synchronize dance steps. Even tried to join in for some of them. All good things must come to an end and we left around 2am to beat the crowd to the taxis.

Thursday was one where I planned to sleep in since I got no assignments to settle this week the deadline being postponed but me rushing to complete it. But the sky had other plans and it started to rain in the morning. Woke up to close the windows and other what nots and to play with my silly doggy who doesn't like thunder. And as we all know, lack of sleep equals flu for Kenneth.

Afternoon was spent hunting for the Manchester United Jersey for Sebaz as it was Jersey night for us as planned. Fortunately, he managed to get it @ $94 at Peninsular Shopping Center. Cheaper than the $40 Pounds over in UK. Than its off to Harbour Front MRT to meet the rest.

Met up with Herbert and Elliott and went to vivo city for dinner. Ate at the food court below and it was super disappointing. Than its off to Holland Village to hear Shirlyn Tan(Hope I got the name right as its 2:40am) and the band play at Wala Wala.
Had just one beer... but its 1 for 1 so its 2 beer. But not my fault as I only ordered one... :P

Thankfully the french fries and chicken wings are good stuff as we were still hungry. Elliott's friend Jaymee(again I hope I got it right) came for a while and Charmaine came down later as well. Stayed for all 3 sets of performance with my nose preparing for the 10km shears bridge run as well. In the end ordered a glass of coke as I needed the sugar to stay awake. Thankfully the songs were good and the band was better.

Its the start of the Football season. :D

Got a ride back thanks to Sebaz's guiding and Charmaine's driving. Dun worry, its ok to make mistakes early and its a bonus the roads were empty. Just remember to bribe your brother and the rest of us not to tell your parents.

Well thats about it for the past 2 days. One more crazy day to go and its back to serious assignment chionging but this time the fire burns even brighter. I will not ever forever lose to some stupid maccas in class.

Ok time for some sleep.
Nights world,
Kenneth :D

Have A Nice Day...

Its been a great past 2 days and am looking forward to a happening week.

Sunday:
First time I wore my Newcastle Jersey out and it sure feels good. A good start to the season and am looking forward to the next match against villa at SJP. And it does help that the jersey is nice plus vertical stripes makes me look not so fat.

Afternoon was spent taking a nap cos super tired but it got interrupted by Amy's call. Sebastian forgot to inform her the dinner plans so she called to ask about it. Couldn't get back to sleep so went online to read up on the forums.

It was then over to suntec city crystal jade kitchen for dinner. A big thanks to Sebastian for dinner. Food was good but the company was even better. Good time to catch up with everyone especially Lynette and Audrey whom I have not seen since my TP days. Francis, Charlene, Herman, shai, amy, ming, elliott and of cos sebastian was there. Also got my hands on Corrinne May's latest cd.

"Beautiful Seed"

There is always something about her songs and voice that keep me wanting for more. Considering that I am a very radio person as in pop/rock/alternative but I actually find her song lyrics very nice and her voice is just captivating.

Monday:

Went down to GV Plaza to catch Rush Hour 3 in the evening with Sebaz, Elliott and Herbert as planned on sunday. Good stuff lah. In the age where part 3 dun turn out well, Chris Tucker and Jacky Chan never fail to entertain. Laugh from start to the end.

Than it was off to have one beer, and its really one beer this time. Also we were sharing our not so good times while Sebaz was away in UK with his studies. Well all I can say is that everything is a learning lesson. There will be scars in life but it will make us stronger. Lastly it was back to good old 401 for supper.

But to end off this post, here is something I wanted to win a free hand phone with but decided just to show it here. Dun wanna be so mean lah and after all if you know me well enough, its just for good clean fun. I am not that evil... well not yet ;D

Just one beer.... :p

Oh darn cannot go out this way... why no warning its spoiled?

Lol and it still says "Have A Nice Day" after making people go one big round to the other exit...

Well gonna get some sleep liaos.
Nights,
Kenneth

Newcastle 3 Bolton 1

Yup its a good start to the new season.
The fire is still there but watching newcastle beat bolton plus EPL is back, I guess things are looking better.

First time wearing the newcastle jersey.
Its gonna be a good sunday for me.
Off to get my Corrine May CD than its the dinner gathering.

Ok time to wash up and get some sleep.

hehe could not resist :D

Nites,
Kenneth :)

But there is no Victory without pain...

"Cry For Help" by Rick Astley

Ok so I guess I really blew my top the other day. Was so pissed. And once again I gave into my anger for the fact that I cannot handle my own flaws and insecurities.

Well everyone makes mistakes and I hope thats one mistake I will not make in a long long time again. I just need to remind myself that while I may not be anyone or a somebody or anything, at least I am not sitting at home and crying in self pity. I am actually doing something about it. :)

Author's Note : Edited becos it was written in pure anger. The fire is gone but you dun need fire to cook in a bbq, all you need is the glowing light...

Kenneth.

BACHELOR GUY : BUSES AND TRAINS

Nice song I heard over the radio on the Mornings with Joe, Denise and Elliott:

Bachelor Girl - Buses and Train

Ok so I got really tired of my assignment having been at it since last Friday and decided to do something else...

BACHELOR GUY : BUSES AND TRAINS

Hey Dad
Why didn't you tell me
Why didn't you teach me a thing or two
You just let me go
Out into the world
You never thought to share what you knew

So I walked onto a track
I got hit by a train
Keep falling in love
which feels almost the same
I've sunk out at school
Crashed my code, gone insane
And it felt so good
I wanna do it again

Hey Dad
Why didn't you warn me
Cos about girls is something I should have known
They're like chocolate cake
Like computer games
I know they're bad for me - but I just can't leave 'em alone

So I walked onto a road
and got hit by a car
Keep falling in love
which feels almost the same
I've sunk out at home
Crashed my comp, gone insane
And it felt so good
I wanna do it again

I wanna do it again
Oo, felt so good

Hey Dad
Since we're talking
What was it like when you were young
Has the girls changed
Or are they still the same
A girl can reject and still be the sweetest thing

So I walked under bus
I got hit by a train
Kept falling in love
which feels almost the same
I'm stuck out at Town
Crashed my phone, gone insane
But it felt so good
I wanna do it again

Ok gonna take a break from my assignments and just go do other things. And yes before I forget, Happy Birthday Singapore. Notice how it always rains in the morning or afternoon so that the weather will be good for the parade in the evening?

cheers,
Kenneth.

So don't stop me falling, It's destiny calling...

Well its about one week to Mambo so might as well post this:

"Together Forever" by Rick Astley

So nana, dun say I never post hor ;P

Well its been a very busy weekend for me. Killer assignment and my usual "Even if I am gonna use someone's code, I will at least give it a shot to try from scratch". And that cost me one whole weekend which in the end I ended finding a problem with a piece of code I used as a guide. In the end I went with my own gut feeling and used any method of solving the problem.

But hey at least I created my own algorithm for another part of the assignment. Other than that, I finally increased my jogging distance to 6km. Tired sia, too long never jog anything more than 5km liaos. But it feels good after that.

Well time to tidy up my assignment so thats about it for today.

cheers,
Kenneth ;D

if only i'd thought of the right words, i could have held on to your heart ...

"Pictures Of You" By The Cure

i've been looking so long at these pictures of you
that i almost believe that they're real
i've been living so long with my pictures of you
that i almost believe that the pictures are
all i can feel

remembering
you standing quiet in the rain
as i ran to your heart to be near
and we kissed as the sky fell in
holding you close
how i always held close in your fear
remembering
you running soft through the night
you were bigger and brighter and whiter than snow
and screamed at the make-believe
screamed at the sky
and you finally found all your courage
to let it all go

remembering
you fallen into my arms
crying for the death of your heart
you were stone white
so delicate
lost in the cold
you were always so lost in the dark
remembering
you how you used to be
slow drowned
you were angels
so much more than everything
hold for the last time then slip away quietly
open my eyes
but i never see anything

if only i'd thought of the right words
i could have held on to your heart
if only i'd thought of the right words
i wouldn't be breaking apart
all my pictures of you

looking so long at these pictures of you
but i never hold on to your heart
looking so long for the words to be true
but always just breaking apart
my pictures of you

there was nothing in the world
that i ever wanted more
than to feel you deep in my heart
there was nothing in the world
that i ever wanted more
than to never feel the breaking apart
all my pictures of you

Ok I know I am suppose to stop posting lyrics but the lyrics are just too "nice" not to post. Yup I guess I have more or less gotten over the last heart pain and all I got left are just pictures. Good enough for me I guess.

Anyway if you are wondering what I am doing at this hour, well I just finished my latest adventure in middle earth. A whole 5 hours doing one area called Fornost, which is suppose to be one castle which gave into angmar(for all you LOTR fans).
And the best part was that I enjoyed every part of it. Party was great. I guess thats the difference when playing with other people. Get a good fun group and no matter how borring, long, irritating an "area" or "instance" is, you will enjoy it.

Guess I will be hanging onto this game for a while longer with another content update coming soon.

Ok thats about it, gonna get some sleep liaos. Lessons in school at 9am later... haha... And before I forget, a shout out to a friend of mine: I know nice guys finish last but still Manchester United is gonna beat Chelsea... I just know it... :D

Nights all,
Kenneth ;)

Can I go scuba diving in that washing machine?

Hehe, something I found in my email. Ok I got the wmv version but I cant put it here so the youtube one will have to do. If you want the wmv one, let me know and I will forward it to you.

Well a tiring day today. Well things did not go as well as I hoped for. I guess time waits for no one and people change and move on. Oh well time for me to move on as well. Wanted to get some sleep in the afternoon but ended up trying my hand at my next assignment. Yup its starting again and if I dun do something about, I see myself falling sick soon before the end of the term... Some JD Cola will do me some good I think.

Well felt abit bored during dinner so took a photo of my dinner plate.

Yup thats multi grain bread, fried salmon and salad. Yes before you even say anything, its salad. I even have 3-4 helpings of it. No Kenneth is still Kenneth but the salad made by Junyuan, my sis bf is really good. Haha must be the ham, eggs and thousand island which means my evening jog got canceled out. But of cos I had a hand in today's dinner. Yup I was the one who pounded the biscuits to coat the salmon before frying. Not easy hor, need to make sure no lumps and all are fine.

Ok thats about it for tonight. Gonna get some sleep as my eyes are trying its best to shut on me.

Nights all,
Kenneth ;)
