Lols... What A Match...

Yup, you should be able to figure out what I am going to blog about tonight. While I never watched the whole match(cos I was too busy trying to take over Europe in this game called Medieval 2 : Total War) , I managed to catch the interesting parts. Namely the two goals, the incident followed by the penalty.

For one thing, I always thought the Thai side was well disciplined with a good tradition of Football being one of the stronger side in the region. Well sad to say, even if they do win the cup, I honestly think the incident today have tarnished their reputation. Even the commentators were saying its rather unprofessional to just refuse to carry on just because you disagree with the ref's decision.

Well other than that, I must give praise to the well taken penalty. Power, speed and accuracy in my humble opinion. Not counting the fact that it was given in a controversial circumstance. Well all the best to the Lions, please give me a good reason to buy the new Singapore jersey which IMHO looks a lot better now.

In other news, Kenneth is slowly creeping back to his old ways again. Yes I have completed the programming part of module 212 assignment 2 and have done up the draft for the vision and risk list for module 222 assignment 2. Will be looking to complete module 212 assignment 2 once my lecturer reply and start on improving the other assignment which is in a form of a report.

Think I need to go retail therapy soon and get my crumpler bag and finish up my CNY shopping.
Well that's about it for tonight. Gonna catch some sleep and get on with conquering Europe tomorrow.

cheers,
Kenneth.

Since when MCQ wrong answer got minus marks one...

Its the first day of the week and from the forecast of it being a relaxing peaceful one, I would be glad if 1/20 of it is true. If monday is suppose to set the mood for the rest of the week, I think I better go prepare myself for the very worst.

Yup for my first test, I got a 4.90 / 10. I knew I would fail but than hor 0.10 marks is very the irritating. Let me explain, as students in our education system, we were taught to be kaisu and for MCQ just put something down even though we are not sure of the answer. There would be a chance we will get it right, well that was what I remember my teacher always telling us. But than hor, here wrong answer got minus marks one leh. So make a guess where my 0.10 marks went to. I think getting used to my new education system is gonna take longer than expected.

Next on the negative list is the fact that I went to sls to look for blank DVDs and a new mouse to last me till the next it fair. Got 25 blank TDK DVDs at $15 so I was quite happy about it. But than that's about the only good thing I guess. Saw a freshie of mine who also joined I-Guides but than kanna ignored. Ok I give benefit of the doubt but somehow I dun think I changed so much until cannot remember me right? And the worst part is the whole of SLS but no sight of the usual cheap $10 oem logitech/microsoft optical mouse. Cheapest I found for a optical mouse was $16. I think I rather buy batteries for my wireless mouse that I am using now.

Walked to Marina to join Amy, Shai and Charlene for dinner after my little hunt at SLS. Next not so good thing to happen to me was that I received a call. Unknown number so I picked it up, a female voice (which sounds familiar I think) asked for Kenneth, I answered "Yup" and she went sorry wrong number. Usually I wun bother cos call wrong number happens but than hor in this case, someone who has my number called but most prob called the wrong Kenneth. And its bothering me that its someone I know but I do not.

Dinner was Kenny Rogers was ok but I made the next mistake by ordering loads of carbo when its dinner time and there is no way I am going to burn it off. And to top it off, I ordered pasta and mash potatoes for the sides. More carbo to add to the list. Chat awhile until Bryan came to join us. Went for a quick drink cos Shai was meeting some of this office people and went home after that.

Well if today is going to be the start of the week, I think I better stay at home, hopefully its going to be much safer in some sense. Need to get ready for assignment 2 of module 212 and 222 liaos.

Ok off to conquer some more land in M2:TW before heading off to sleep.

Cheers,
Kenneth.

Ole Ole Ole Ole, Ole... Ole...

Well I must say I have never been a fan of S league, but when its a Singapore vs Malaysia match, I confirm will try my best to watch it one. And this evening the choice was to do my assignment 2, play some NWN2 or watch the match. After the last match, the Lions looked like they deserved to lose and not draw by the way they were playing. The Tigers were the ones that looked more hungry for the win. But remembering my Malaysia Cup days where we would pack into one car and off to the national stadium to watch the match, I decided to watch the match.

Singapore look good in the first half but the Malaysian Goalkeeper had the best defenders to help him, the Singapore strikers. The delivery was good, the flanking attack was good but the finishing was never there. And as time went by the Malaysians with their better passing took what little chances they had and scored a goal. Which was in some part the Singapore keeper's fault.

But as usual, Singapore needs to be one behind to get the fighting spirit that they needed and chances were taken and I must say our FTs or rather now SGs(if you get what I mean) worked their ass off and came close to scoring. I must point out that precious' shot would have been my goal of the week if not for the superb take no risk save by the Malaysia keeper. But thanks to good nice weather(for once it helped) the header on target was not saved properly by the Malaysia keeper and it was one all and Singapore was back in the game.

As it went into extra time, both sides played well creating chances but the strain of playing over 100 minutes caught on and it was to the penalties to decide the fate of both team. I will admit I never liked penalties and every time the Lion's took a shot half of my sight would be blocked. And as each sided converted their 4 chances, it came down to Jia Yi to take the 5th shot. He should go thank what ever god(s) he pray to that his shot had just enough power to make it into the net after hitting the Malaysian Keeper. But the fifth Malaysian player to take the spot kick was not so fortunate and our villain (for the Malaysian goal) turned hero as he dove the correct side and caught the ball in style.

Good match with loads of drama and action I must say. Good effort from the Malaysian side as well. I guess that penalties are the worst way to lose a match. I must also say that their keeper was cool throughout the match, keeping a few good shots out. Their captain was also not bad, playing the last man, always clam even when pressured. But got one substitute which came on really spoiled my image of the Malaysian team. He looked like a “hit man” type of player when he came in, but I did not want to judge by looks. But he had to prove me right. He made lots of rough tackles which resulted in a yellow card in the end and I rest my case.

Well other than that, nothing much has happen other than the fact that while looking forward to a nice weekend to rest up, my lecturer had to go through the next assignment. Thankfully my friend reminded me to take a break and relax if not I might end up burning out too fast. For once I actually am motivated so much to do my work that it just seem wrong. Wrong in a sense that when I told myself to take a break and play some games, I found out that I had no other games other than Football Manager 2007. Good thing my Neverwinter Nights 2 DVD was around on the table(Yeah I pre ordered the limited edition).

Maybe just maybe... Elliott might be right after all... Maybe I do need someone in my life so that I would not have no life until all I got is my work... Just maybe... But on second thought, I think I just need to go out more and play more games and watch more "Heroes" :P

Ok its time for bed as I got church tmr and a farewell lunch at village for Christina.
Nites world...

Cheers,
Kenneth.

You always said we'd still be friends someday...

Taking a break from studying by visiting the forums is a bad idea. Let me explain why...

Its been a hectic week so far for me. Last saturday was assignment dateline, monday was a test, wednesday was another assignment dateline and tomorrow I am going for another test. While rushing assignments and studying, I decided to take a break and visit the good old HWZ forums. There I stumble onto a thread, and in it was some lyrics and a youtube video. I cant remember from which tv serial the video clips were used but the background song is "If You Leave" by Nada Surf(Of cos I got hold of the original one by OMD which is more retro). The lyrics were really nice and well suddenly I got all emo. Lol dun ask me how or why but yeah, the thought that while the rest of the world(ok lah not really the rest of the whole wide world but at least most of the people around me) have thoughts on V Day which is coming(as in they got someone, or trying to jio someone or something... bottom line they got someone to think about), I do not have. All I got was the fact I need to sign up for IPT and ensure I survive my test and I still need to get that new crumpler bag I have been eyeing. Sad huh....

To make matters worst, I found a really nice present that one can give to their gfs on V Day. Its not expensive or flashy but it looks really nice and in my humble opinion, would make a great V Day gift. And so being Kenneth(I hate this part) I have decided to help my friends get them since the collection can be made at SIM. No I am not going to say who in case they get into trouble.

Wanted to post a pic of it but later the recipients of it find out liaos than not so nice. Yup but thats just me. Always helping people. Maybe thats why I am still single? Cos I help everyone but myself. Makes me wonder if lets say I kept all the good ideas and stuff to myself like the teddy bear with the rose(lol sorry had to take that pot shot... :P) and so on, would I have been attached now and not having to endure all the "when are you going to get a gf" qns(today kanna from my dad again, asking me if I am bringing anyone for cny dinner).

Anyway the moral of the story is to concentrate on one thing at a time so things like that wun happen to me. Ok thats about it for tonite. Will be online a bit longer to tidy up some stuff. BTW if anyone is interested in this V Day gift, drop me a message on msn and we can talk about it.

cheers,
Kenneth.

"If You Leave" by Nada Surf (OMD Cover) - O.C. Mix 2, The Soundtrack

If you leave, don't leave now
Please don't take my heart away
Promise me just one more night
Then we'll go our separate ways
We always had time on our sides
Now it's fading fast
Every second every moment
We've gotta make it last

I touch you once, I touch you twice
I won't let go at any price
I need you now like I needed you then
You always said we'd still be friends someday

If you leave, I won't cry
I won't waste a single day
But if you leave, don't look back
I'll be running the other way
Seven years went under the bridge
Like time was standing still
Heaven knows what happens now
You've gotta say you will

I touch you once, I touch you twice
I won't let go at any price
I need you now like I needed you then
You always said we'd meet again someday

day, day, day

I touch you once I touch you twice
I won't let go at any price
I need you now like I needed you then
You always said we'd meet again someday

(ha, ha, ha, ha, ha)
If you leave
if you leave
Don't look back
Don't look back

The Ref is a joke...

Wanted to head for bed but decided to post something here first.

Watched bits of the singapore vs malaysia match just now while trying very hard to finish up my report which i think is going to be a failure. So this is degree level. Must remember that gone are the poly days where the lecturer will spoon feed abit and at least give us a sample. No sample just the outline and off we go to do the report. Thanks to my google using skills i managed to find sample reports online and lo and behold if my report is suppose to look something like that I am dead meat. And yesh this is my first assignment. Gonna really have to pull my socks up for the next few ones. No more white army socks but black newcastle united football length ones :P

Well had a very interesting talk with a friend from HWZ forumers. He was telling me about how he is going to grad in 3 weeks time. Than talked about his dinner and dance and how ugly guys like him got no chance to get a date for it. I went even ugly guys like me can at least get a gf than he wun have much problems. Well he did manage to get a date for christmas eve dinner(while i was getting bombarded at my cousin's house about how I look too decent to get a gf... :S) and I advised him to do more follow up. Interestingly enough(OK Elliott You GOT Your Juicy Bits :X) the topic changed to how I got my gf back in poly. While I wun say much here(HAHA you gotta bribe me on this one liaos), I must admit that I had some help and got it easy. Honestly(darn why cant I be dishonest... ok its just Kenneth... -_-) it was a good experience for me to learn and I am thankful that it happened( Thanks to you know who you are (; ). While if given a choice to decide again, I wun know wat to do(so I got a thing for girls with really cute smiles, sue me than.....) and most prob did the same thing. But anyway now that I learnt the lessons the hard way, I dun think I will forget them anytime soon and do stupid things again. Well it helps that I am too busy with school work to get myself into any bgr situations.

Ok thats about it. My first post here with juicy bits just for the guy who wants to stay sexy on radio(pls get them to fix the internet radio... its a pain to my expensive soundcard and 7.1 speakers... :P) And yesh before I go to sleep, the ref just now was crazy... sheesh since when did refs stop matches just becos the corner flag got wacked and it was like almost the end of the game.... ?_?

Well thats all from me today.
Cheers,
Kenneth.

Huh You mean I studied wrongly? Siao Liaos....

Yup today was my first test. And yes its been too long since I studied for something. The test in army din count as you technically should not fail test in army as they usually try to pass you.

Ok so I think I will somehow pass it but doing well is a rare thing. Decided to chiong my assignment 1 to try to make up for the lack of marks. Almost done with it and now have to wait for my lecturer to reply me. Well hopefully he does now that I have emailed him on 3 of his email accounts.

But everything somehow showed me that maybe I have been pushing myself too hard. Think I should take things one at a time not bothered with results so much. Over stress is bad for my health and leads to more running nose and pills.

G.K. Chesterton wrote, “Here dies another day, during which I have had eyes, ears, hands, and the great world round me. And with tomorrow begins another. Why am I allowed two?”
- our daily bread

I guess I should looking at other things than trying to get good grades(the word is trying :P).

Ok thats it for today. Time for dreamland and my 8 hours of sleep :)

Nites all,
Kenneth.

The Sun and Moon but no stars...

Sunday was an interesting day. Well for one I was sick and din go to church. I dun think I would have survived after 2 running nose pills anyway. After popping the pills it was back to bed until 11 plus when I auto woke up. Attempted to study abit. Managed to study abit in the end. Abit cos I was on my pc going through my lecture notes in powerpoint and msning a few people here and there at the same time.

Got out to study more and met up with francis, charlene and charlene in orchard. lunch @ lido with subway later in the afternoon which ended up more like a catching up and mini skirt session(lol cant help it if someone keeps pointing it out when it appears on some trailer on the big screen there).

Had the chance to look at some crumpler bags at wheellock place and paragon after that. My good old trusty deuter bag finally died after 6 full years of using it. Everyone told me that crumpler was worth every cent so decided to check it out. Still cant decide on which model but will have to somehow "hijack" randy's apple card for the 10% discount :P

It was off to do some window shopping after that and I realised something, if I ever need to get clothes for presentation or work, I will just get francis along. Seeing him explain to charlene about the blazer made me realise that. In fact after the whole window shopping session, I think his gf next time is gonna be very glad as while most guys dread shopping for clothes with their gfs, francis seems otherwise(ok if u get a gf becos of this you owe me dinner... haha... :D).

The day ended with dinner at some japanese restaurant called the sun and moon if i remember correctly. Ordered some rice with fired pork thingy. At first it look small until i realise the container was rather deep. With much effort I managed to finish it all. But to my horror I was informed that I had to help with some ice cream. Sounded ok until...

Well I will let the pictures do the talking. :D

Well it did not help that there were "nut" jokes going around and there were nuts in the ice cream.

Well after that me and francis being the nice people we are waited with charlene for her bf who drove down to pick her home. Than it was home sweet I have a test tmr home.

Hello 2007...

Ok so I have am late in getting this blog started. Well its gonna be different in this blog. For one its gonna be public. Yup while my other blog was private, this one is for public viewing. well not as if anyone is gonna care but that means I gotta pre censor whatever I type here incase I kanna dunno wat act than end up in jail or something. lol...

cheers,
Kenneth.
