Radio signal of my mind, is it reaching you?

"Heart Station" by Utada Hikaru

Yup Hikki is back once again with her new song "Heart Station". No need for english translation this time as the video has it. Kudos to the translator :)

Not to forget she still looks as cute as ever. One of the few non english artist that I actually like and follow since I happen to hear her song "First Love" way way back. Anyway looking forward to getting hold of her album in march.

Anyway just a quick update, I am officially done with all my assignments for this term and now will start(hopefully) mugging for my papers next week.

Went out with Derick, Benny and Wee Foong for a movie just now. Watched "Jumper" @ AMK Hub. Nice movie although abit short. Good to see Hayden Christiansen back on screen since I last watch Star Wars.

Anyway thats it for today. Gonna get some sleep and head off to dreamland.

Nights,
Kenneth :)

Garage: No Greater Love...

Just thought I share some photos I took while helping out at the recent Garage. For those of you who are wondering why it is called Garage, well according to wikipedia,

a residential garage is part of a home, or an associated building, designed or used for storing a vehicle or vehicles.

And since the event location is held on the first floor of Emmanuel House where all the carparks are, its called Garage. Well at least to my understanding lah. lols...

Anyway, I went down to help out the nice people at Media(only because I got a free dinner... ok joking :P) with the usual photo printing "booth". Something which I have been doing since way back than.

Ok so enough of the borring words and onto the photos:

The junior band getting ready...

Talking about love... thus the hearts...

Dinner is served...

Media project servant hard at work as well...

Getting ready for the next item...

Even the little ones can help out...

A shot of the drum set...

Can you spot my laptop?

The senior band doing their item...

Donuts and lots of it for desert...

Well it was fun to be at EH again for Garage. Sure I was tired having reformatted and reinstalled my pc and rushing through a usual graphic card review. Plus the slight rain and crazy traffic was all that was needed to spoil one's day. But at the end of it all, no words can describe the feeling of helping out.

Cheers,
Kenneth.

A Foody Chinese New Year Round Up...

Just a short round up of my Chinese New Year...

Reunion dinner was at my place this year and boy it was fun to have everyone here eating, talking and having fun.

Part 1 of Dinner... Do you see that huge tray of salmon there? Hehe...

Popiah party anyone?

Part 2 was steamboat and the beef was delicious...

Day 1 was spent visiting my mother's side of the family. Again lots of food and snacks and the collection to fund Kenneth's PS3 begun. Not much pictures cos not much happening food. Think cos eat so much snacks until no need for proper meals. Oh and there was my cousin who ordered too much food from KFC for lunch. Lols, finished lots of side orders(Love the whipped potatoes). Hope I din put on weight sia.

Day 2 was spent in JB to visit my auntie and her family. Lots of fun and food as usual in there. But becos I did not bring in my N73 as it has no auto roam, no pictures of the great food inside. But I have to mention that the HUGE prawns(that I peeled for my sister cos Junyuan not around) and the HUGE fish(And I really mean HUGE) was good. But as usual the company was even better.

Donuts... Cheap and Good somemore... think it was buy 16 get 8 free.

Opps... got too tempted before I took a shot... :D

Day 3 was spent visiting my "Aunti Mama" or me and my sister's babysitter when we were very young. Than it was off to suntec for lunch where I also took the chance to deposit my collections before my itchy hands will spend them at sim lim square on new computer hardware. Also took the chance to apply for a debit card and change my atm card.

The place we had lunch. At the food republic suntec.

Shark Fin's dumpling I think. Free becos of some safra promo...

Some shots of lunch...

Than it was off to Derick's house for the "Sunday School Dropouts" gathering. There I watch the horrific defeat of Newcastle. Was so heart broken that I had to drown my disappointment with nice expensive chocolate. Than it was off to playing Winning Eleven on the PS3. If my team cant win in real life, at least they can do better in game life.

Nice expensive Chocolates...

The final shot before they disappeared one by one...

Sunday was spent at Herbert's place where we played Guitar Hero and Taboo. Had lots of fun with Taboo. Especially when you soak cake and drink bear in the morning. hehe... :P

Remembering Indiana Jones before the fourth movie hits the big screens... :D

The following week was filled with me being busy busy and busy. Assignments due on monday and thursday/friday plus my IPT training and overclocking competition.

Mum had her CNY kindergarten lunch on friday at home and I took the chance to take the first bite. I fully recommend Lee Wee brothers if you need a quick lunch setup. Love the fish balls and the fried fish. And the chilli is not bad too.

Well that about rounds up my CNY for 2008. Its been good eating and catching up and thankfully a quick check with the weighing scales shows that I did not gain any weight.

Oh and special mention to Charlene for this really nice gift from Japan. Whats more interesting is that she kept refusing to let me pay for it and even went to take out the price tag so I would not find out how much it cost. Little that she realised that she forgot about the price tag on the side of the box.

Anyway thanks again for the nice gift. I have been so busy these days an this is a good way to keep my mind off things. And as requested, I will post pictures of the process of fixing up a Gundam.

Cheers,
Kenneth.

Taming The Kerberos...

Ok so I have tons of pictures(ok maybe not tons but still quite alot) to share but I will only do it next week after everything is done.

Yes I got so much things to do this week that I dun think being alone on V Day is going to affect me. I got a deadline to settle and IPT to go for and another OC competition to take part.

But I got the time to wish Wee Foong A Happy Birthday ~!

Anyway I am finally done with the programming side of this stupid Kerberos project. Yup its some stupid protocol named after the the Greek mythological character Kerberos (or Cerberus), known in Greek mythology as being the monstrous three-headed guard dog of Hades.

Gonna get some sleep(6 hours?) and get the rest of it done up. I dun mind programming but readme files and whatnot are kinda irritating.

Ok time to take my medicine and sleep. I got a bad feeling IPT is gonna be quite tiring tmr...

Nights,
Kenneth

Bad doggy... no doggy treats for you... :P

Going back to where I belong...

All the politics, all the games, all the flames and all the wars.
Haiz, I really dun understand how it can come to this.
But its ok, hobbies are just but hobbies.
They can come and go.
I really cannot be bothered anymore.
My conscience is clear and I will leave knowing that I did what was right and gave my honest opinion on things.
People have eyes and brains and can tell what is really going on.
And if they cannot, well good for them.
It is not my lost.
I am just too tired bother any more.

And just like the lyrics go:

I'm staring out into the night,
Trying to hide the pain.
I'm going to the place where love
And feeling good don't ever cost a thing.
And the pain you feel's a different kind of pain.

Anyway the last few days were quite an eventful one.

Finally went down to Corbell on thursday to pick up the prize for the overclocking competition and to pick up my latest review card, the MSI R3870x2.

Finally got my free coffee/tea after about 4 years... hehe

After Corbell, went to have dinner with Benjamin at a nearby market. This bee hoon + fried fish + fried sotong cost me $2.

Took a photo of this at AMK hub entrance. Last few days before the year of the pig is over. Which reminds me, I need to clean up my room asap.

The certificate of participation. Quite nice imho.

Friday was spent doing up the review and compiling it for future reference. Then it was off for supper with Derick, Daniel and Aaron at Terminal 3.

Fries, Fries and More Fries at Popeye's. BTW thats Daniel's hand.

We came, we saw and we were conquered... hehe... first time used up so many packets of chilli sauce sia... reminds me of a certain someone... sigh....

The green vine at the departure hall. Where is poison ivy sia...

The inside area... Can you see the Fifa shop?

The main attractions of the area... haha... took me a few tries to get this shot

Yup sometimes the best things in life need not be the most expensive or the most complicated stuff. Just spending time with friends and having fun is good enough for me. And I did not have to pay a single cent to walk around Terminal 3.

Nights,
Kenneth :D
