I'd take another chance, take a fall...

"Apologize" by Timbaland Ft. One Republic

This is a nice song that has been running in my head since I saw the MTV earlier in the evening. And the lyrics, well they speak for themselves.

And its this very song started the whole process and the lyrics just plays it out nicely.

Lol... what Irony...

Kenneth.

Christmas Aftermath...

Another quick recap of the last few days.

My thursday was spent meeting Leanna and Melissa for lunch at marina square waraku. It was good to just sit down and do some catching up with them. The food there is also not bad, $9.80++ for the set lunch where you can order one noodles and one rice dish.

Friday evening was spent at Daniel & Tiff's place. Just a small group which also includeds Derick, Randy,Aaron and Junwen who joined us later from his work. Food was very good, smoked salmon, stuffed mushrooms and meatballs for starters, main was lamp, ham, salmon and salad(which i must say was so good that we finished everything) and dessert was fruits and coconut jelly thingy.

The food was good, the games were better but nothing beats the company.

I know what you are thinking... Milk? Heh, thats Kenneth for you.

Cheers,
Kenneth

Deck the halls with lots of chocolates...

Well Christmas is over and boy was it something new for me. Well based on the fact that I got high on Chocolate which is a first for me.

It all started after days of squeezing in town with the rest of Singapore trying to pick out Christmas presents for people. Each time going home either empty handed or just a present or two.

And by Christmas Eve I was still not done. Decided to take a break from all the present hunting and met Melissa for lunch at "The Asian Kitchen", Marina Square outlet and to pass to her the present. Food was not too bad, although my food kept coming later. Gives a new meaning to Ladies first? :P

Then it was off to meet Herbert and later Elliott and Nurun in town for really last minute shopping. Picked up my pants as well and managed to settle the Christmas cards as well. Although the experience was one that I do not wish to go through again.

Dinner was at my place with the usual cousins coming over. And with them, it was always fun and noisy. Air con was on so it was nice and cool as we dig into delicious food.

After dinner was the part I was sort of looking forward to, the Chocolate Fondue. Some how the rest were not to crazy about it so guess who had the chance to finish it all. It sure tasted good, marshmallows, strawberries and even to the point where I was just eating it right out of the fondue bowl. Think I was rather high after that.

And to end it off, what is Christmas dinner without a log cake. Yup a chocolate one as well. Think I got really high that night.

Chocolate Fondue

No Chocolate Fondue will be complete without marshmallows

And people wonder why I can get high on chocolate...

Whats Christmas without log cakes...

Durian Log cake anyone?

Christmas At Orchard 2007...

It was a wet and rainy morning and I wanted to sleep in but the noise of my parents getting the house ready for my cousins to come over woke me up. Had a donut for breakfast and got ready to head out to church for the final message and discussion of the youth camp.

But had to settle some errands and so on and I had my lunch late and reached church in time to see the speaker drive out. Never the less, I still made it for reflections and group discussion.

Then it was off to Sim Lim Square to meet kelvin and bryan and see them hoot new toys. Mine is coming next week just in time for Christmas. I hope... hehe...

Then it was off to Suntec to find the Christian Bookstore there but somehow it closed liaos or something. Still need to go Bible shopping with Charlene so now need to find a new place. Its the first time someone ask me to go bible shopping so must make sure I find a good one for her.

Next on the list of activity is to head over to orchard where Melissa's church is putting up an item for "Celebrate Christmas In Singapore 2007" at Paragon. Took me a while to locate her in the group. Too bad my camera abit the old liaos if not I would have taken better shots.

But it was nice to see churches and other Christian groups making an effort to spread the Christmas message to everyone.

Cheers,
Kenneth.

"Ordinary" By Train

One of the comments I found for this song:

a very relatable song for me. i'm the type to always help people but when it comes time that i need help i can't seem to find anyone at all...yet i still go out of my way to help them when they need me. i dont ask for much but i think a little love and respect would be nice.

Enough said.

If Santa(if he exist) can do a list of who is naughty or nice and award accordingly, he must either gave my presents to another Kenneth or do not exist at all. I will go with the 2nd one.

Nvm, this will be the last Christmas that things will turn out this way.

Nights,
Kenneth.

Soaking up the festive joy...

Decided to join my parents in town for a little Christmas shopping. Got myself 2 shirts and 2 pants so I guess Chinese New Year shopping is also settled. And knowing how much I dislike shopping, its a good thing after all.

Met Elliott after my parents went back for some Christmas present scouting and it was well worth the effort. Its amazing how much things you can find if you put in a little effort. Think this year present list is very much settled also.

So maybe this Christmas might not be so bad after all.

Then again... but thats another story for another time.

Nice big Christmas tree at Taka.

Now remember to be careful, many lights also means a lot of electricity.

cheers,
Kenneth :D

I am not a Man Utd Fan but...

Manchester United play Liverpool on sunday and I decided to head over to Harry's to watch the match after finishing up my mini review. Well I am no Manchester United fan as I support Newcastle, but after watching the Liverpool wack Newcastle the last time, no prizes for guessing which side I was on. :D

Tis the season to get married...

Congrats to Mr and Mrs Wee :D

Cause the scars run so deep it’s been hard but I have to believe...

"Patience" by Take That

Quite an interesting song by Take That. Patience is what I think alot of us need in this busy fast paced society in Singapore.

Anyway just a quick update from me:

My exams are over which mean I can finally soak in the festive season. Lots of things have been happening around me while I kept myself in my little shell of just exams and hardware and reviews. Think its time to do some work about it.

And after thinking through a bit more I guess I should take it real slow. Let things work out by themselves. No point rushing into it at this stage of my life I guess. Still have 6 months(hopefully) more of school and time to find work.

Maybe other things will happen by then.

Life is so unpredictable so who knows whats in stored for me.

Cheers,
Kenneth ;)

Life's like a road that you travel on...

"Life Is A Highway" by TOM COCHRANE

Well life has been a highway so far for me. Smooth sailing for the past few days. But the up slope is coming. Exams next week and I am not even 50% prepared. Opps...

Quick recap over the past few days:

Tuesday:
Went for the gala premier of "The Golden Compass" with Melissa(I-Guides) and bumped into Elliott and Su Ann. The show was good, but the company was better. Got to do some catching up as well.

Wednesday:
Met Melissa(Daughter) at Taka to an afternoon snack and some stoning. Went to meet Bryan at SLS for our usual walk around and got my hands on a new graphic card to review.

Thursday:
Finished the review of the graphic card and finally got myself to finish the game "Call Of Duty 4". Finally I get to enjoy my new graphic card. And realised that its time to start studying. Ok lah just need to run through my notes once and remember that formula.

Going back to sls tmr afternoon to return the card and do some errands for a friend. And hopefully at least cover 30% of my notes for tuesday's paper.

Ok time to get some sleep liaos.
Good nights world.

Kenneth :)

A Sunday off...

And the week is over as I type out this blog post.

Finished my assignments on saturday. Cleared up my bible study as well. And decided to watch the Newcastle vs Blackburn match. Was very disappointed with the results. Worked so hard only to loose in the end.

Sunday morning was spent in church trying hard not to fall asleep with the crazy past few days of rushing assignments and all with little sleep.

The afternoon was spent helping Derick get his Playstation 3 and playing abit of it at his place.

The evening was spent at sitex with Elliott and its off to suntect for dinner. Made a new friend Su Ann who is a WOW gamer as well. Only that I have decided to give up WOW liaos. Dinner was with Elliott, Su Ann, Charlene, Herbert and Stella. Lots of laughter over dinner. Charlene gave us all a ride home after that. Many Thanks :D
